As India slips to 107 th place out of 121 countries in global hunger index, food becomes a very important resource, especially in developing countries like ours. The cities that battle poverty and starvation, community run-kitchens are one of the best ways to fight hunger.

To fulfil Srila Prabhupada’s order of not letting any human being go empty stomach within a 10-mile radius of the HKM center, we inaugurated a centralized community kitchen in Byculla capable of feeding 20,000 people every day. Akshaya Chaitanya, a “giveassured” NGO in Mumbai by giveIndia, is a trusted NGO for food donation that has a fully automated kitchen to ensure the quality of food
being prepared and distributed is never compromised.

For food donation in Mumbai, we are running three feeding initiatives – Swasthya Ahara, Bal Shiksha Ahara, and Paushtik Ahara.

The Akshaya Chaitanya kitchen prepares hot and hygiene food to 10,000+ meals every single day.
