The Inspiration behind our existance
Nurtured by the Compassionate Vision of Srila Prabhupada
One day, while looking out of a window in Mayapur, a small hamlet near Calcutta, Srila Prabhupada saw a group of children fighting with stray dogs over scraps of food. Deeply moved by this incident, he resolved to ensure that no one within a ten mile radius of his centre would go hungry. This direction to his followers inspired the genesis of various charitable feeding initiatives.
His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada

Our Spirit
Spirit of Akshaya Chaitanya
In Sanskrit, ‘Akshaya’ means inexhaustible or everlasting and ‘Chaitanya’ means consciousness. In line with this, we aspire to build a society with everlasting sublime consciousness and good physical health.
Our food choices directly impact this, as per Indian philosophy's Sattva, Rajas, and Tamas qualities. Central to our endeavor is the promotion of Sattvic food, abstaining from Tamasic ingredients such as onion, garlic etc. By adhering to this dietary philosophy, we aim to nurture not only physical health but also elevate consciousness, fostering harmony and vitality within our community.
