Navratri is more than just nine nights of devotion — it’s a time to open our hearts in prayer, gratitude, and giving. Each day we worship the Divine Mother, and each day is also an opportunity to bring a smile to someone in need.
This year, Sharad Navratri begins on 22nd September 2025 (Monday) and ends on 1st October 2025 (Wednesday). Along with fasting, puja, and rituals, offering charity (daan) during these sacred days is believed to bring multiplied blessings (punya).
At Akshaya Chaitanya, we invite you to join us in celebrating Navratri with compassion — by feeding children in schools, patients in hospitals, and families who struggle for a daily meal. Together with you, we can make devotion more meaningful through seva.
Why Donation (Daan) in Navratri Matters?
Navratri means nine nights dedicated to Goddess Durga, each day honoring a form of Shakti. Worship is not complete without compassion. Scriptures say that daan during these days — especially feeding the hungry — brings peace, prosperity, and the blessings of the Divine Mother.
When you give food (annadaan), you not only honor the Goddess, but also ensure no child or patient sleeps hungry during these holy days.
