2. It is an initiative of HKM Charitable Foundation
With a legacy of over a decade, HKM Charitable foundation took up the cause of fighting
hunger in Mumbai and based on the guidance and wishes of their founder Srila Prabhupada,
nobody within a 10 mile radius of their center should go hungry. Akshaya Chaitanya was
formed as a non profit organisation in Mumbai to realise this dream and make this wish a
living reality.
By the grace of the almighty, we inaugurated the expansion of our daily feeding program –
Swasthya Ahara in the 19th hospital with Maharashtra’s Hon. Chief Minister, Shri. Eknath
Sambhaji Shinde, on 4th March, in a ceremony attended by prominent local officials and
community leaders. The launch was attended by Hon. MLA Shri Pratap Sarnaik, Hon.
Municipal Commissioner, Shri. Sanjay Herwade, Hon. Dean of Chattrapati Shivaji Maharaj
Hospital, Shri. Yogesh Sharma..
